Lionel Messi scored his 400th and 401st career
goals, as Barcelona thrashed Granada 6-0 to
return to the top of La Liga on Saturday.
Playing in his new ’10’ role, the Argentina captain
set up goals for his team-mates, before helping
himself to a brace in the second half.
“Messi is someone who has been touched by a
magic wand and he is desperate to enjoy playing
football,” said Barca boss Luis Enrique.
Champions Atletico Madrid are now in second,
two points behind Barca, after they defeated
Sevilla 4-0 at home.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 10th league goal of
the campaign, as Real Madrid won 2-0 away to
Villareal to remain four points off the top in fourth
place.
