Eaglets Qualify for African U-17 Championship


Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets thrashed Gabon 5-0
to qualify for the 2015 African U-17
Championship on Saturday.
Goals from Kelechi Nwakali (penalty), a
brace from the duo of Ebere Osinachi and
Kehinde Ayinde helped the world champions
cruise a 5-0 home win to progress 6-2 on
aggregate, following their previous 2-1 loss in
Libreville.
The coach Emmanuel Amuneke side join
seven other countries including hosts Niger in
the group stages of the African Junior
Championship.
Golden Eaglets to Represent Nigeria at the
2015 African Junior Championship.
The tournament is slated for February next
year.
