A female student identified as Miss Cynthia
Okebaram of the Micheal Okpara University was
on Monday crushed to death by a bus driver.
The ugly incident which happened at the main
gate of the institution as reported was caused by
the driver who was on high speed on the ever-
busy Umuahia Ikot-Ekpene Road when he tried to
overtake a trailer; Skidded off the road and hit the
student who was standing close to the gate
apparently with the intention of crossing the road,
crushing her skull.
This attracted the wrath of other students around
who wasted no time in destroying the vehicle and
setting it ablaze.
However, the driver was said to have escaped
unhurt to a nearby police station.
The deceased was said to have completed her
Diploma in Computer Science and was processing
her clearance.
